Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC)

I am employed by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation as a systems administrator, working in the New Media group. I am responsible for the maintenance and operation of cbc.ca's server infrastructure and applications. Prior to this position, I was a Java developer, also working for CBC.ca.

VerticalScope Inc.

From July 2001 until May 2003 I was employed as a Software Developer with VerticalScope, Inc., based out of Toronto. VerticalScope, as the name suggests, is a company with interests in various vertical markets such as webhosting resources (www.tophosts.com) and the sport compact car market (www.modified.com). I developed software for them using languages and programs such as PHP, Java and PostgreSQL. Click for a picture of me at work.

Matrox-Typhoon Inc.

From May 1999 to July 2000 I worked for the Typhoon Technologies division of Matrox Graphics as an Intern ASIC Validation Engineer and Architecture Designer. My job involved writing scripts to test the VHDL hardware designs against the expected results from a model written in C, and to maintain the validation API. I worked on the projects which eventually became the Matrox G550 and Parhelia products.

AEC InfoCenter Inc.

Prior to working at Matrox, I worked at AEC InfoCenter for two summers under Mark Nightingale. I worked in the capacity of a systems/network administrator, and programmer/developer. Some projects I was involved in included programming for Construct Canada's website (written in Aestiva HTML/OS) and development of various in-house Perl applications.

The North Renfrew Times

Prior to university, I worked for The North Renfrew Times performing various duties, including ad design, layout, copy typing, and accounting.
